University Botanic Garden

The Cambridge University Botanic Garden is home to over 8,000 plant species from around the globe and a series of landscapes representing their natural habitats.  For this project we designed a pocked sized spotting guide which aimed to introduce young visitors to the ecology of different plant habitats and the animal diversity found there.

Like a scientist in the field, children were encouraged to seek out and identify the wide range of animals found in the different habitats in the gardens. Looking high and low, points were awarded based on the level of difficulty to spot or the rarity of the species.
