Hospitals can be a scary, and intimidating place. Queen’s Hospital wished to change that and wanted to create an inviting, calm and less clinical environment to be in. Taking inspiration from the flora and fauna of the nearby National Forest, we developed a woodland design that could be used across the hospital that gave the hospital its own identity and brought the outside in.
Using cut vinyl, illustrations were applied to the walls creating a visual narrative to the space. The greys and greens used provided a clean, calming effect whilst the metallic elements created light and movement as visitors progressed through the spaces
